Light and Color Work: Misto Reef Lights

Here are a smattering of images of my analog light shows which I perform under the name Misto Reef Lights. Since I use handmade acetate collages, each performance is a unique, spontaneous arrangement of shape and color. I have been lucky enough to do this for bands such as Beach House, the Silver Jews, Port O' Brian, The Skygreen Leopards, Rodriguez, Little Wings and Karl Blau among others.

Sculptural Work: Fluvial Drifters

Here are some images of the ephemeral sculptures that I make under the name Fluvial Drifters. They represent Driftwood shacks. Think of it like this: I send fake flotsam drifting in various arrangements from the beach through neighborhoods, up into the city, repeating ritual arrangements of nameless architects of the coast.

Recently, I had the good fortune to show this work at SFMOMA's artist gallery windows with Charlie Callahan and Serena Mitnick-Miller. You can find it on display there until July 2009.
